How to get an Citrix Trial License

If you want to build your own Citrix Xendesktop of Xenapp test environment, then you can download the software and evaluation license from the Citrix desktop.

Things you need before you start:

1. The host name of the license server that will be running the Citrix license service in your test environment. On your server open an command prompt type: hostname hit <enter>

Let's get started:

1. Browse to https://www.citrix.com/welcome/create-account.html
2. Click on Create customer Account
3. Fill out the Registration Form, click Continue
4. On the Confirm your address pop-up choose standardized or Postal Services standard layout for your address, click continue
5. Create an Login ID and password that you can remember
6. You are redirected to the My Acount webpage


7. Choose Previes/Betas - License Retrieval
8. Click on one of the Citrix Xendesktop - Evaluation (90 day) license Serial numbers

9. Click on continue if you are not logged in to this website from your license server. If you are logged in from your license server then click on determine license server name (host name) or Host Id
10. Type your hostname of the license server in the Host ID field, click continue
11. On the confim page click confirm
 

12. Click ok to download the file
13. Save the file to an location on your network or local drive
14. Import the file on your Citrix license server
